I am looking to professionally copy just the audio in DVDs and transfer the sound content to cassette tapes?

Somebody told me that this type of tower exist. Also a friend mentioned to me that there is a specially made machine just for this purpose, although she does not know the name of it. And I've had no luck trying to find it or find out what it is called online. I need the sound quality to be at its best that it can be for a cassette, because what I'm looking to do is on a professional level.

thanks in advance for any advice.

  1. Professional and cassette?

Professionals have stoped using analog media years ago (or at least no cassettes..)

  2. Almost any CD/Cassette player that can record can dub audio from CD to Cassette.

  3. the last computer made with a cassette interface was the radio shack color computer in about 1980. since then computers have switched to disk.

most DVD players have A/V output. simply connect the red/white wire to the cassette recorder input.  i can't imagine an audio professional anywhere wanting to work with audio cassettes.

  4. There is the plus2 deck, but it's really made to work the other way around - analogue to digital:

I can't fathom why you would want to go from digital to analogue??

I am not certain that the unit above even has a record facility (they probably couldn't fathom why anyone would want to do this either...!!) but this USB device has:

I would imagine that professional results would be best attained by transferring the audio onto CD.
