Is there a condition that makes your eyes particularly sensitive to dust and chemicals in the air?

No I don't mean crying! I mean like: if I use the wrong aftershave it irritates my eyes; I use shampoo last thing at night instead of in the morning; working in a laboratory irritates my eyes.

They've always been like this.

They seem to be hypersensitive?

  1. It sounds as if you have an allergy to dust mites. The best thing is to get your problem checked out by your GP as he/she can diagnose the problem better.

Good luck and I hope it clears up soon.

  2. In terms of dust and chemicals in the air, this is related to hayfever. I have a lot of allergies myself and my doctor told me that all of them are connected. E.g. Hayfever and Eczema.

If your aftershave irritates you it could be that the smell is strong or you are allergic to one of the ingredients, your eyes are connected to your nose so this might be the cause

Go for a check up with your doctor, and in the mean time take a mild antihistamine to calm your symptoms

  3. believe it or not sounds like your eyes are dehydrated.u dont have to feel thirsty to feel dehydrated.so what you can do is first thing up in the morning have 2 glasses of water and with the salt shaker have 1 shake of it on your hand and l**k it off then drink the water and 2 and a half hours after every meal have 2 glasses of water and the salt again like i said before.the reason im saying this is because you need the salt so the water can get into your cells.if your eyes are dehydrated that means your head is dehydrated so what that means is your body is dehydrated because when your dehydrated your body gives first preference to your brain, your face then the rest of your body is given water.

  4. well ive got hayfever and my eyes are itchy to nything this time of year, but wearing sunglasses help, in the morning i where them when the sun is shinning any my eyes are fine for the rest of the day hope this help
