Is there a connection: Women want to change men in marriage. Feminism wants to change men in society.?

Not really.  Feminism is about economic equality.  Wives want to change their hubbies for emotional reasons.  Wives are always women.  Feminists are men and women.

Generally, women marry men because they like the man as he is-- not because they want to change him. Asking for help with chores, or asking him to put the toilet seat down, etc, is more about making living together as easy as possible.

Feminism doesn't want to change men in society, it wants to change society itself-- which will result in a change of how both men AND women perceive things.

Do women really want to change men? I don't think so.  Women marries a guy, she loves him.

She keeps giving him chances to act like the man she loves, he worries about not pleasing her, and tries to guess what she wants, and always gives in to her or what he thinks she wants.

He wants a quiet life, she wants that guy she married.

No, the first idea is largely a male myth, the second completely a male myth. I guess they are related in that they are both the fantasies of insecure men. :)

They are the same, men can't be men like they use to be.

we have to be sensitive, caring, clean, shaved everywhere.

quiet and still in charge and tough. this generation is most peculiar, up to this point, men protected their family, provided food and shelter, came home to eat and have s*x. then back out to do it all over again. today women and independent, and self sufficient, they almost don't need a Man today. Its good and bad, their needs to be balance.

I like women in charge and respect them, but it does send a message to men , you are not good enough the way you are. Women watch these guys celebrities and think thats the guy I want, well really, his underwear smell and are stained the same as any guy. we are all alike, in most of this stuff. let guys be guys and not girls.

wow, an Epiphany!  yes dear, the idea is loud and clear - men need to change - the old gender role idea is now verboten - for both genders.  Wake up, change, and move forward ~
