Is there a connection between Kingsford, the charcoal company and Henry Ford?

It may look like a coincident, but I heard someone mentioning that Henry Ford, the founder of Ford Motor Co. had something to do with the start-up of Kingsford, the charcoal company. Anybody has some authentication to this notion?

they originally made the charcoal out of the leftover wood from when lots of wood was used in the early fords. I'm sure you can google for more information
