Is there a connection to Madeleine McCann?

The disappearance and discovery of the body of 5 year old Ylenia Lenhard and the finger pointing towards swiss Von Aesch who committed suicide. Apparently he was near Prao de luz in portugal when madeleine McCann went missing. I cant find anything anywhere on what became of this situation or if it was proved he had nothing to do with it? Also the man that the swiss shot before he committed suicide nothing on this either. Can anyone enlighten me and put my mind at rest?
