  3. I love this recipe - It makes a wonderful butter cookie which you can then frost or decorate as you wish.  I have some nice frosting recipes at http://www.cakesandkids.com

2 1/4 cups all purpose flour

    1/4 tsp salt

    1 cup sugar

    3/4 cup softened butter

    1 egg

    1 tsp vanilla extract

    1 tsp almond extract

Mix flour and salt in medium bowl.  Beat sugar and butter in large bowl at medium speed until fluffy.  Beat in egg, vanilla and almond extract.  Gradually add flour mixture and beat on low until well blended.  Form dough into 2 discs and wrap in plastic wrap.  Refrigerate for 30 minutes or until firm.  This dough works great with fun shaped cookie cutters.
