Is there a correlation between IQ scores and degree of religious belief?

I think there is, but this question would be better asked in  the religion and spirituality section. Usually, not always, but usually, smarter people do not believe in a religion.

I don't believe there is any correlation between IQ and religious beliefs . There has never been anything to suggest that would be a true statement. IQ doesn't measure religious intelligence .

well usually atheist are more logical just because people of faith make a decision to ignore science and reason

i myself am an atheist and  scored 142 which is technically genius but whose looking at the numbers (i am)

no one on here is smart enough to answer this question apparently. this is not an opinion question, purely factual. the only way you would know the answer to this question is if there has been a reliable study published and I am sure there has been. Looking in major journals is your best bet.

Not really in my opinion. Higher intellect may give you more of an ability to ask why? However I have met many an open minded Christian with  degree and many a moron with no beliefs. It is personal choice.

The smartest people in history have been religious, or at least believe in God.  Some examples are:

Isaac Newton

Albert Einstein

Stephen Hawkin

Lesser brains challenge them, and pout that they do not agree.  Sadly, the lesser brains outnumber the more developed brains, so they hold more sway in public opinion.
