Is there a correlation between the downward spiral in British society, and women getting the vote?

I think British society has been on a downward spiral decade on decade since the 1920s

Did we go too far in letting the women vote? I blame it all on that one fateful decision

Absolutely.  And letting the hoi polloi have a say in the running of our once great country has brought us to the sorry mess we're in today.

Your question assumes there is a downward spiral of some sort.  Would you care to define what you mean by this and how you measure it?  

Would that be the downward spiral of educational achievement ? .... No, that went the other way.  How about the downward spiral of average wealth? .... No, that doesn't seem to be true either.  Then maybe you mean the downward spiral of life expectancy ..... there you go, another non-starter.  How about the downward spiral of respect towards our fellow human beings as exemplified by  your question?  Well you  might be onto something there though I think we need to look elsewhere for causality.

No, its the introduction of liberalised education and lack of discipline thats done it..

No, I think the right to vote was the icing on the cake. Releasing them from the ball and chain in the kitchen was the beginning of the end.

I take it you are single James?? Loads of things contribute to how society is. Total lack of respect in alot of people and no parental involvement doesn't help.

I think the question, reveals the real reason for the "downward spiral", of the British society, if that be the case. Which I believe it is not. Great advancement in education and human knowledge, are still centered in England.

However the masses, as in America spend far to much time in the "pub", destroying the intellect that they developed as children.
