  1. Try Score Match http://www.financeglobe.com/ScoreMatch/ They allow you to find credit cards by a credit score.

  2. you can open a bank account and get an ATM/VISA.  If you do it that way, you won't get in trouble maxing out your card cuz it comes straight out of your account.  There's also secured Visa or Mastercards for people trying to establish credit.  Go  online and do a search.

  3. As a former credit card collections manager, i have one piece of advice for you.  and i live by it myself.  If you can't afford to pay for it with your own money, you don't need it.  !!  you will build your credit in other ways.  Student loans, car loans etc..............

  4. Try to build credit without credit cards.

Just take credit and pay it in time, and your credit score will be set. To avoid common mistakes while buiding credit, I recommend this one - http://creditreport.undonet.com - to monitor changes in you score and pre-estimate future scores for different scenarios of payments.

  5. A pre-paid credit card.

A prepaid credit card account is opened by depositing money into that account, much in the same way you would make a deposit to open a checking or savings account. Once you have money in your account, you're issued a prepaid credit card that can be used anywhere one would use a regular credit card. The best part of the prepaid credit card is that you can charge to your heart's content and you won't be in debt. The money is yours and once it's gone, you can't spend any more until you make another deposit. There are no bills and no interest charges. It's the same principle as using a debit card linked to a savings or checking account.

  7. What I did was get a secured credit card at my bank, that'll help start some credit.

Once you get your credit score up, you can apply for regular credit cards.

Believe me this helps, I had zero credit what-so-ever, and they say that's worse then bad credit.

  8. Capitol One is a great place to start.  They usually contact you with offers, but in your case if you have not recieved an app. google capitol one.  The intrest rate will be higher as you have no credit and the limit will start out very low (100 bucks maybe) but once you get going with them and make payments on time your score will rise, your credit limit will rise and you will get more and more credit card apps in the mail.

BE CAREFUL WITH THOSE CARDS and GOOD LUCK

  9. you can apply for this credit card, http://www.idbaru.com/creditcard . its made for people like you who have no credit history or bad credit.

  10. If your going to college then talk to your bank. Usually they have a college card for people like yourself. It has a very high interest rate but on the flip side if you pay your balance every month its a good way to build credit.

  11. Hsbc will offer you a credit card for sure most likely unsecured if not then secured for sure. Try capital one also that was my first credit card without a cosigner at age 18.

  12. Capital One used to have a credit card you could place a deposit on and then use it as a regular visa...after several years and a good payment history they refunded my deposit and increased my limits frequently.... This is how I established credit ...
