1. There is no cure for cancer . . such as you cannot take medication and the disease will go away. For one thing . . cancer is an umbrella term for over 200 different types of disease. Secondly, cancer is a progressive disease . . it starts out small and begins to grow and replicate itself indefinitely. However, there are many different types of cancer and some grow slowly and can take years . .while others are aggressive and fast moving and can grow in months, weeks, or even days. Cancer is complicated. That being said . . survival from cancer depends on many different facts . .it depends on the stage of the disease (how far along it has progressed), grade of the tumor (how abnormal the cells look under a microscope), the location of the tumor (s) (some tumors are located in easy spots to reach, others are wrapped around veins or vital organs making them impossible to remove safely), to further complicate matters . .survival depends on the age of the patient, overall health, and the first response to treatment. So . . all of that is a round about way of saying . .there is no single cure for all cancer, but there is treatment and treatment can lead to an individual cure. There are survivors from all types of cancer and all stages including advanced . .

the most difficult stage of cancer to treat remains metastatic disease. There are survivors but it is very hard to treat because the disease has spread into the blood stream or by the lymphatic system and can travel anywhere in the body. Combination of chemo, radiation, and surgery may improve chances of survival.

  2. yes there is...Do what ever is necessary...maybe it could be removed but if it cant...all you must do is think of it as gone...the mind is the most powerful thing in the world it is capable of anything

  3. No. Not a cure - there are treatments that help - some people say there are alternative treatments that work, like sodium bicarbonate drips, or other things.

Usually surgery and radiation or chemotherapy are the traditional treatments, but you will always run the risk of it returning.

PS, i'm not advocating the alternative treatments - I think they are mostly crazy, but there are people who believe they work.

  4. Yes. BUT, it depends on the cancer, how far advanced it it, the treatment, and YOUR attitude about your illness. I had ovarian cancer this year that was almost to the terminal stage. I used a combination of traditional and alternative medical treatments. As of now, I am cancer-free. As with ANY treatment, be an informed patient and do the homework to see what would work best for you.

  5. Instead of telling you THERE ARE CURES for many types of cancer at moment, and that for sure there'll be for all cancers in the future, I'll first congratulate you for getting such great answers for such extremely important question.

And then I would congratulate ENCHANTRESS for sharing such a positive story with all and ask that she share information about treatments she received.

Unfortunately not everyone's so lucky and she'd be doing TREMENDOUS help for many in need.

  6. This is a common misconception. Many people think of "cancer" as a single disease when in fact cancer is simply a "catch all" term for any malignant growth. Each type of cancer has its own causes, risk factors, treatment approaches and recovery. Some cancers are terminal, some are not. Some are treatable, some are not.

  7. there are preventative measures such as smear tests and checking skin for moles changing, checking for breast lumps, etc, and if symptoms signify the presence of cancerous cells, there are therapies to kill off , remove by surgery, and lessen and shrink the cancerous cells . The danger is , it needs close follow ups as it often returns again. this is why it is important to raise money for cancer research a charity I have worked for. because 1 person in 3 will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime we need to carry on doing research until the day comes when a cure can be found .Take care.

  8. No, there's no guaranteed cure for any cancer.

The problem with finding a cure is that cancer is not a single disease, it's an umbrella term for over 200 different diseases. The difficulty with finding a cure is that different cancers are caused by different things, so no one strategy can prevent them They all respond to different treatments so no one treatment can cure them, so there isn't a magic bullet that cures all cancers and there never will be.

But some cancers CAN already be cured: seven out of ten children are cured of cancer; testicular cancer, Hodgkin's disease, and many cases of leukaemia can all be cured in adults with chemotherapy, most skin cancers are cured with surgery and many cases of thyroid cancer and cancer of the larynx are cured with radiotherapy.

Many other types of cancer are also cured if they are found early enough.

  9. I DO NOT BELIEVE THERE ARE CURES FOR CANCER THOUGH THERE IS TREATMENT THAT WILL PUT IT INTO REMNANT'S
