I have been diagnosed with Anxiety with panic disorder due to PTSD and Bi-polar depression. The panic attacks are unbearable without medication. The medication makes life so hard. I can't drive, shoot most the time I can't stay awake there has to be a better way.

I want to live my life and be normal but without my meds I am freaking out. I have 4 to 5 panic attacks a day and they last anywhere from 30 minutes to three hours. Don't know how much more I can take. Anyone with any clue please reply all answer will be taken in to consideration.

  1. try doing yoga. because of its great emphasize on a union between mind and body it has been proven to reduce things like what you have. It's benefits  range from calming panicky  syndromes to reducing the severity and frequency of epilepsy attacks

  2. Maybe change mediciation

    I'm no doctor

but when i had panic attacks and depression my doctor gave me Cipralex (Escitalopram) but yours sound more severe than mine :(

Sorry i can't help anymore but its defiantly something you should say to your doctor about

  3. Hi Tina P,

I know your pain, my ex girlfriend had bi polar disorder and the meds made her "numb" as she use to say.

Anyhow I came across this e book that talks about how to cope with bi polar disorder, you might find it helpful.

    Hope it works for you.

  4. Although the medication makes life hard, it may be a better alternative to skipping them until you find out more information--maybe try talking to your doctor / therapist about it?

  5. Maybe you should try therapy maybe its not the meds that

you need maybe its the reasurance that nothings wrong.

them maybe your anxiety will fade.

Unless you've had dramatic event in your life i think it might

be easily cured by a little bit of therapy, reassurance, and relaxation.

  6. Here's a technique that I learnt to help me get through my panic attacks quickly...

I simply repeat the words 'cream cake' over and over in my head as quickly as I can without stopping.    You could use any word or words you like really but that's what I chose (because I like cream cakes).  It apparently works because it doesn't give your brain time to process the panicky thoughts and so helps you to relax again.  Seems strange I know ... but it works for me!

There's also a free ebook that I found really useful called 'Get Rid of Panic and Anxiety for Good'. If you want to take a look you can find it at: http://curepanicattacks.premiergold.info...    Even though I got it for free it has helped me absolutely loads!
