Question:

Is there a database for HORSE JOCKEYS so i can see if this guy is really one?

Is there a web site or data base out of Florida, Kentucky or New york (Not sure which of the 3 states this guy lives in) that i can view races that jockeys do over the past couple of years.

I am looking for the name of a man my mom is dating. He seems really shady, and i doubt his story of being a "jockey" is even true. He's 51 right now.. any help would be greatly appreciated.

  1. Just look at him. If hes over 5ft or over like 110lbs at most...hes not a jockey.

  2. he is a old washed up jockey, looking for 1 more mount...

  3. If he's 6'-2 and weighs 195 lbs, chances are, he's not a jockey. If he's nearly a midget, walks bow-legged, and keeps referring to his favorite mount as being "that little filly I met in the barn last week", then he's probably a jockey.

  4. try this one

                      www.racenet.com.au

    go into jockey stats.

  5. look him up on equibase.com, it has everything to do with racing, or just tell us his name and we will tell you

  6. He definitely needs to be under 110 lbs to be a jockey.

Here's a list of notable jockeys:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_joc...

You could also purchase a background check on him:

    http://www.ussearch.com/search/start.cgi...

If you are under 18, ask a relative who cares for your mom for help (you'll probably have to use a credit card).

    Good luck! :)

  7. Try www.jockey's guild.com  If he was or is a jockey and he paid dues to be a member of the Jockey's Guild his name should show up on the members list of jockeys belonging to the Guild along with any info the Jockey's Guild might have.

  8. I always like checking people out, but it's sometimes hard to prove that people not what they say they are.  I found one directory, and linked to that below.  You should check for him there.  I didn't find any other directories in the US.

Other ways I check people out--go to www.google.com or www.yahoo.com and type in his name in parentheses.  If he has a common name and you get a ton of hits, try adding the word jockey to the search.

If you can get him to tell you where he raced, you could search for that racepark and see if they have online records, or could go to your local library to see if they can help you access newspaper articles for the city where and when he says he raced.

You also may want to search public records--marriage, divorce, birth, bankruptcy, real estate, etc.  You can find links to city, county and state databases through a wonderful website called BlackBookOnline--see link below.

Good luck!  Remember your local library can also suggest some ways you can find information about people!

  9. google his name, if he has EVER ridden you will find at least one reference to him

    http://www.google.com

Just enter his name and you will get instant results!

  10. Is he still racing? Equibase lets you see which jockeys are entered in a race on any given day.

http://jockeysguild.com/jockeys.php has a listing of every current jockey paying dues.

Keeneland.com and ChurchillDowns.com and NYRA.com show the names of jockeys who've won big races at their tracks.
