Is there a database to see what former employers are saying about you?

there was a special report on the late night news stating that former employers could be putting adverse information in these databases on you. Does anyone know of this database. How do I access this information.

I dont think so...They cannot comment or say things in public for former employees I guess  they can be sued for such acts..

never heard of such thing, it could be illegal, if you want to know what they think call them tell them your calling from xyz company and would like to know how that person worked in the company, they mostly tell you
