My cell phone shows I have called over 100 times today, but I always get a busy signal. Is there a way to make sure I can get on?

  1. Just keep doin' what you're doin. Employ as many friends and family using other phones. All of you hitting redial time and again until you get through.

Once you do, there's another step. You have to impress the call screener, so be crisp and cool. Know what you want to say, say it emphatically and without hesitation. Don't try a lame joke, don't beg... present your case. It would be a good idea to practice and have notes, but don't sound like your reading from a script.

    Good Luck

  2. Wait until you sense the host is about to hang up, then hit dial. There is a five-second delay on broadcasts, so by the time you dial, the line should be open for a second or two.

  3. I agree w/ Duh, unless you want the unfair advantage and you aren't butt ugly, email the producer of the show a pic and tell him you are interested in tix . . radio dudes are pervs, so that might raise your chances :)

  4. Duh is correct if on big talk shows and such

If it's say the shoutout on the local top 40 station, I find it's usually in the middle of songs are the best time as he's cleared the lines usually by the middle of the second song.
