Is there a device that can warn motorists of the presence of speed cameras way before they can start/?

the device should warn me before the speed camera starts picking up my speed and takes my photo.

I'm gonna have to go with abstractfallacy's answer on this one....

Nobody needs to be in that much of a hurry so as to risk injury to anybody on the roadways.

To many bad drivers out there who think they're the only one's who have to be somewhere....which makes it tougher for the rest of us who aren't allowed to express road rage anymore.

Yeah, it's called your speedometer. Make sure the needle doesn't go past the number posted on the speed limit signs.

I suspect they use radar or laser beams, so a good quality detector should do it.

Yes, the Good Lord installed them in you when you were born. They are called eyes and brain.

You use your eyes to see the speed limit signs and you use your brain to keep to that speed limit.

Otherwise you are a danger to all other road users and you should not be driving any vehicle.
