Is there a device that lets you convert an eletrical outlet into an ethernet outlet?

I need one for live on my 360 and I dont want to buy a wireless connector. If possible could you please provide an answer and source to purchase this device. Thank you.

  1. I've never heard of one.  I've heard of doing this with TV signals, but not computer signals.  The biggest issue is that a LAN requires 2 pairs of wires, 4 conductors.  One for send and the other for receive.  An electrical outlet only has 1 pair plus a ground.  The ground doesn't count because it is ground.  You can't send a signal on it.  If you don't have one, you would also need a router no matter what wires you used.
