  1. I used a suds saver tub when I was living in MI. The wash (or rinse?) water goes into a large tub & then is sucked back into the wash for the next load.

  2. If you can afford it, get a good front load washer and dryer. I have a maytag set, its NICE and the washer only uses a gallon of water per load, it recycles its own water for each load. The dryer has a sensor that detects when clothes have no more moisture in them, and shuts off. That way you arent drying clothes that are dry already! Look to spend a good 2 grand on a nice set, but it really pays for its self. Also, since there isnt an agitator in the washer, its easier on your clothes, it uses the idea of hand washing by tumbling the clothes, not jerking them around with plastic "blades".

  3. Well, what do you want to use it for?  It could be drained into a cistern and used to flush your toilet if you want to spend the money.  It is recycled through your septic or sewer lines and reused after it is filter through the ground or at the sewer plant.
