no the red dye is a myth....old wives tale to keep little munchkins from wizzin in the pool....the myth worked so well that people still wonder the same thing passed down from childhood, yet never seen it in real life.....lol

No it's just a myth to stop a person peeing in a pool and a lot of gullible believe it. Which is good they use the toilet instead of thinking a colored ring will surround and embarrass them. (I tell them a fib there's a chemical in the water if they pee a dark blue ring appears around them and it sticks to there skin) tee hee Nobody has yet in my pool.

no but they could develop one, they can track blood or even bacteria so it should not be difficult to make.
