  1. "Airship" and "dirigible" are essentially interchangeable.  Both rigid and non-rigid airships are classed as dirigibles.

    The word "dirigible" simple means "steerable" in French.

    I assume by "blip" you mean "blimp."  A blimp is a common type of non-rigid airship.
