Is there a difference between Center and Centre??

  1. Center is American.

    Centre is French and all of the British Commonwealth including Canada.


  2. NO because in different places the people there here the sounds of the letter r differently.  

  3. Centre is the correct English spelling.

    Center is the way that the americans spell the same word.

  4. The only difference I'm aware of is regional.  "Center" is the standard American spelling; "centre" is an alternate British spelling.
