  1. One's theory, the other practice.

  2. Basically, it's Child Development when you get your Associates in Science (A.S.). I am qualified to be a Master Teacher, Associate Teacher or Teacher in Child Development. As for the difference I don't remember it being that way. It's all based on one title Child Development. As for the Early Child it means working with 0-24 months and Toddlers ages 2-3. Once you get your A.S. you can work with any age group. You need to research it more so you have a better understanding of it. You should call one of your local preschools or any colleges who have Child Development courses and ask them which would be more better for your needs. Some people don't like to change diapers. Some people don't want to get all dirty with 3-5 years old. Working with children you must have the patience and love for them.
