Is there a difference between Jam and Jelly?

  1. Jam is more of the preserves whereas jelly is the sugar skimmed from the preserves.


  2. Jam tends to be thicker and some have chunks of fruit. Jelly is more clear and does not have chunks in it

  3. Jam is thicker more solid while jelly is slightly semi liquid, jellys come in different varieties u can also freeze it and have it alone or can add with icecreams,milk shakes etc.

  4. jelly is only the juice of a fruit,  jam used the whole fruit including the seeds.  

  5. Yes: jam has fruit pulp, while jelly is made just from juice.

  6. Jelly has gelatine in it , jam doesn't
