  1. (excuse me while I bang my head on the desk... OK, I'm back.  Did you not notice when you typed this question that it's been asked numerous times before... like hundreds?)

Anyway, you know what a vegetarian is: someone who doesn't eat dead animals.  So, no meat and no slaughter byproducts.

A vegan doesn't eat, use, wear, purchase or otherwise consume anything of animal origin whatsoever.  So, no meat, no slaughter byproducts, no dairy products, no eggs, no honey, no leather, suede, wool, fur, down, silk, feathers or pearls, and no toiletries/cosmetics made with animal ingredients or with animal testing.  We also avoid industries like circuses and rodeos, which exploit animals for entertainment.  The idea is to reduce animal cruelty and exploitation as much as possible.

  2. Vegans can't eat cheese, milk, yogurt, or eggs... I couldn't do it!

  3. Vegan is a category within vegetarianism.  Being vegan means strictly not having ANY animal products.  There are several categories of vegetarians:

lacto-ovo: (the one most people refer to as vegetarian) no meat or fish, but they eat milk & egg products

pescatarian: no animal products, except fish

vegan: no animal products, even as far as not eating gelatin since it comes from an animal

  4. Vegans don't eat anything that have anything to do with animals. They don't eat or drink any dairy products, no honey either, they feel that animals are exploited and therefore avoid all things that involve animals.

  5. Hi,

Well there's different types of vegetarian:

Lacto-ovo vegetarians don't eat meat, fish or gelatin but eat dairy products and eggs.

Lacto vegetarians don't eat meat, fish, gelatin or eggs but eat dairy products (i.e. cheese, milk etc.)

Pescetarians don't eat meat or gelatin but eat fish, eggs and dairy products.

Fruitarians only eat food classified as fruit

Vegans don't eat meat, gelatin, fish, eggs or dairy products.

    Hope this helps :)

  6. vegans refrain from dairy products, eggs, gelatin, etc. They pretty much can eat vegetables, carbs, and some protein like nuts or beans.

vegetarians are open to dairy and many to eggs.

  7. Vegetarians don't eat meat.

Vegans don't use any animal products in any aspect of life.

  8. vegans are totally commited to animals like they touch nothing with animal material and they do protest and go all out with animals it no longer is about eating healthy
