  1. tornado is what happens in u.s but twister is the name of those that happen in other places ??

  2. they're the same.

  3. Twister is slang for tornado.

  4. Twister is a colloquial name for a tornado, due to the rotation of the winds.

  5. basically same, but a twister is generally weaker

  6. One is slang for the other.  Twisters are NOT weaker, they are the same.  It's called colloquialism.  Weaker, my @ss!

  7. Twister can be a slang for tornadoe, as said above. Or, as most say, Twisters are much weaker then tornadoes and would cause less damanage then one. Less then f3 would be a twister.

  8. They are the same thing...  also vortice,  vortex,  funnel, etc.
