  1. there are no difference. konami changd the card type to spells to suit teh game better (mainly because the card game Magic the Gathering became popular durring the same time) anyway if a card effect destroys a magic card, it also works for a spell card and vice versa. most cards today are spells but some of the older verson are holo and people like to fill their decks with holos so you may still see people useing magic cards (like monster reborn, card destruction, premature burial, and swords of reavling light adn many more). people who do fill their decks with holos are most likely hardcore and should know about this. otherwise... magic cards are reprinted into spells and are most likely common there fore much more afordable. teh nonhardcore players fill their deck(s) with cards that are reprints. i remenber when they made the change... i first thought the 2 thpes where different!!! also spells contain newer careds that does nto exist in magic card version.

  2. Nope they both are the same. It used to be Magic only but a while ago they stopped making magic and now making spells.

  3. they are both the same, the creator of yugioh just wanted to call them spells instead of magic

  4. nothing. its a new reprint

  5. no spell cards are the somewhat new name for magic cards
