Any possible explainations are welcome. Skeptics, I prefer the term "temporary mental abberation".

  1. yes,a vision can include not just future but past events also..i have more to say about this subject but yahoo answers is no place for it..sorry.

  2. I tend to think of a vision as just one aspect of clairvoyance... if that makes sense?

  3. I wrote you what I thought was a pretty good answer..but I clicked the wrong thing and it disappeared. Drat!

Edit ..Anyway..here's a link (if I don't delete it too.)

    LOL..Hmmm....it 's gone too. O wail....

    OK...Here's a better link

Wanted to tell you about  a vision I had years ago...looked like a movie screen..VERY VIVID ...scared me. I still don't know if it was a premonition..or a symbolic vision of this person at the present time. I would think you'd have to have visions to be clairvoyant...but you can have visions without being clairvoyant (like you did)

Edit..beatles example is SO TRUE !! I think she's been peeking into my past. I didn't want to be involved with psychic things..so I thought it was the Holy Spirit..

  4. No

  5. In the best descriptive analysis possible there would be one simple route to take to answer this from the First Nations or at least this Algonquin perspective .

The difference in its entirety is so vastly foreign to oneanother that it is best served as a cultural phenomenon and tribal rite as opposed to Phsycic Energies and unfortunately all of the cold canned catastrophes that accompany PSI and the topics that rival it .

One wants nothing to do with the other and should not be out of plain respect for other cultures !

  6. To me, a vision has strong spiritual overtones, has more to do with the "big picture", and includes things like feelings of union with "God", spiritual or physical healing, and things like that, where a clairvoyant or precognitive episode is more concerned with this plane, concerning those around us, warning of danger, and things like that.... That's based on my own experiences with such things, terminology may vary according to one's religious upbringing or education.  For example, if  someone who shies away from learning about "psychic" things out of fear of dabbling with the occult were to have a clairvoyant or precognitive episode, such a person might view all such ocurrances as "visions" from God....

  7. In common usage a vision is usually given a religious context and often deals with the future.

Clairvoyance is simply seeing a picture or information that could not be known by normal means. It is a type of ESP.

    CLAIRVOYANCE

Paranormal acquisition of information concerning an object or contemporary physical event; in contrast to telepathy, the information is assumed to derive directly from an external physical source (such as a concealed photograph), and not from the mind of another person; one particular form of extrasensory perception, it is not to be confused with the vulgar interpretation of “clairvoyance” as meaning “knowledge of the future” (for which see Precognition)
