Just wondering. I know it may sound crazy but it seem like the blue shirt umpires always lean in favor of the team AGAINST my Detroit Tigers, lol.

  1. I think it has to do with the day/night games. Powder Blue in the day and Black at night.

  2. You're an idiot.

The shirt is decided by the crew chief.

  3. No there shirts are just diffrent.   i dnk why umpires would wear black is with teh worse possible sun

  4. Um they have nothing against tigers

Blue shirts mostly for day games

Black shirts mostly for night games

Well I dont think they have ANYTHING against your team

  5. It has nothing to do with rank or favoritism.  It has to do with the crew's choice of approved league uniforms for umpires.  Power blue and black are on the list.  There is no difference.

  6. If it's hot outside, powder blue. If it's mild or cool they may wear black. If it's day, most likely blue. At night, black.

  7. yes, black shirted umps are Tiger fans and blue shirted ones hate the Tigers
