  1. No

  2. no its just diffrent ways of saying it

  3. Yes!  Job wise.

An Air Hostess (or a Hostess) is a woman who receives and help the guests in seating (Just like a Hostess in a restaurant is employed to welcome & seat the customers/guests). An air hostess is a term used only for women engaged in aviation jobs.

Cabin crew are the members of an aircraft crew who attend to passengers or cargo. They can be both males or females. This term is also used for flight pursers, pilots, flight engineers also.

  4. Not really.  However, Air Hostess is an  old fashioned term.  And if someone called me that I'd find it offensive (Just like being called a Steward or Stewardess)

We prefer to be called flight attendants.

  5. Cabin crew refers to everyone(both male and female) that attend to passengers during flight. An Air hostess is a female member of the cabin crew. Almost the same but not quite.

  6. no there the same thing. only hostess'es are women as far as i know of
