Is there a difference between eye shadows like Revlon that are expensive just for a single color or the eye shadows that have like 50 colors for about 5 dollars.

  1. There actually is a considerable difference between expensive and inexpensive eyeshadow brands. First off, the quality of the eyeshadows will differ. When you compare a product like Revlon, to one thats cheap and comes in 50 shades,  you'll recognize that the intensity of the pigments differ greatly. While an eyeshadow from revlon will disperse color at a higher concentration in one single application, the cheaper ones end up leaving only a barely noticeable trace of color - plus it smudges and is removed easily. And when it comes to blending and layering on eyeshadow for more complex makeup looks, this can get really annoying, and therefore its more convenient and economical to purchase the more expensive one in the long run.

Secondly, the health safety of the two brands will differ. While it would seem like you are buying revlon because of its "name" and everything, that isnt exactly quite true. Brands like revlon, loreal, maybelline, and covergirl, etc. are well- established products and have credible sources of cosmetic research compared to the cheap noname brands. The no-name brands are cheap because they arent tested to see if they are suitable for sensitive eyes, contact lens wearers, nor are they opthamologist approved. They are simply a composition of chemicals, dyes, and irritating pigments - therefore, its more likely to get an eye or skin infection from them, than the more credible, tested and trusted brands.

-sure the 50-shade eyeshadow kits are fun to work with once and a while, but for the safety of your eyes, you should use an eyeshadow kit that states it is safe for sensitive eyes and is tested.

    :)

  2. Yeah there's a big difference... first is the materials they use for the eyeshadows, second if they are tested or not in animals, third the package... do you wanna go around with a revlon eyeshadow pack or with the cheap ones???

With things like make up that goes directly to your skin it's better not to be cheap and spend good bucks in something that you know for sure will protect your skin, face skin is very delicate and you want to keep it pretty and soft so just spend a lil bit more but keep your flawless skin.

  3. I don't think theres a big difference. The single sold eyeshadows might claim all these facts that aren't true and they are just like the ones sold with 50 colors.

  4. Well cheap eyeshadow can sometimes cause a problem with skin if you have an existing problem already.Other than that the only difference is basically the price.

  5. theres a slight difference if you look at the minerals and stuff used.

but, the single colors are probably made for those who dont need

a big  variety and stick to the same thing daily.

  6. nope! it's the difference between shopping at Macy's or shopping at Nordstroms. it's basically, that your paying for the name of mac rather then the same color for $19 cheaper
