  1. You can not distinguish between a naturally occurring and man-made CO2 molecules.  So, there is no difference between them.

You can distinguish between the different isotopes of carbon but that still will not tell you if it is natural or man-made.

  2. yes there is a man-made carbon.

its called fullerenes... and it has great potential.

search it out on the net there will be thousands of pages about it.

  3. Carbon Dioxide is a compound, it's not man made.  Sometimes, the things we do cause it to be released, for example when we burn coal, but the CO2 wasn't "made" by us, the carbon and oxygen atoms that make it up existed before we burnt the coal and continue to exist after we've burnt the coal.

In terms of causing the greenhouse effect, there's no difference between carbon dioxide molecules created by our actions and carbon dioxide released from "natural causes" such as naturally occurring fires or decomposition of organic matter.

The problem is that our activities release so much of it.

  4. Nope - both are exactly the same.

  5. Naturally occurring CO2 turns its nose up at the man-made stuff.  It's just got no class.
