Any sort of drowsy medication completely knocks me out.

Besides the obvious (one is non-drowsy), are there any differences between the two? Is one less effective?

  1. non-drowsy is less effective.

  2. Dramamine II (or non-drowsy Dramamine) is generically called meclizine and has a much less sedating effect than the regular Dramamine, which is a different drug and will make you drowsy.  The non-drowsy one is not quite as effective, but still should help with motion sickness.  The non-drowsy Dramamine (meclizine) also comes available otc in another brand called "Bonine".
