  1. Technecially "make" because "making someone equal" implies laws being passed and said laws being followed.  While its nice to believe that society is so advanced that we don't need said laws, its just not that pretty of a world.  I would love if society would simply "allow" for all to be equal (s*x/race/religion/nationality) but unfortunately there are people out there who are narrow minded and bigots (in any of these areas) and need laws to keep them in line.

That said, however, we must always make sure that these laws that "make" everyone equal are, in fact, equal themselves.  We want equality, not superiority of any s*x, race, religion, or nationality.

EDIT-- Besides, "allowing" someone to do something has a somewhat negative connotation.  A mother "allows" her child to go to her friends.  A boss "allows" his employee to take a few extra hours off.  The superior "allows" certain benefits to a inferior.  To "allow" for someone to be equal implies that a higher someone is granting benefits on a whim or simply because they can.  I would not want someone to tell me they "allow" for me to work a full time job in a male dominated field (or for those who chose, allow them to stay at home and care for the children).

  2. The difference is the amount of deaths that occur for men and their male offspring.  Study the obituaries and learn how many men die going thru divorce.

Society has already adopted the "making them equal" stance.  The difference is all the stress, mental, emotional, physical & finanicial pain tens of millions of men & children have had (and will have) to go thru.

Today it's all about money.  For lawyers, RX, doctors, counselors, jobs (false domestic violence counselors) therapists, elementary special ed & counselors, more housing needed (breaking up families is $$$ profitable.)

And perhaps the worse is yet to come.  Little boys today have seen their fathers handcuffed by police (most for argueing) and dragged away for good.  These same boys are stuck behind violent computer games.  Will these boys pass onto their male offspring the hatred of todays unfair feminist system?

With allowing people to change, you have more peace.  With forcing people to change, you have murderers who have killed innocent fathers & their male offspring.

  3. my stance is that women are inherently equal..its not something for someone to decide.

yes we have a few anatomical differences, but we each play a vital role in society...life couldnt go on without men or women...equality basically means to me that the man isnt the one in charge and nor is the woman...they respect each others differences, and whether they are taking care of different responsibilities they are free to practice w.e they would like to because they are physically andd mentally capable of it.

society is not the one to make women equal to men, society is just in disagreement with something that is fact...it needs to accept a fact,, not verify it.
