Is there a difference between sketch and drawing paper?

sketching paper is cheaper. drawing paper is not so cheap.

"sketch" paper is typically low quality paper, this is because it will allow you to do many sketches without spending much money. Drawing paper can range in quality, it also can range in weight ( the thickness and density). Drawing paper is good for final work, such as charcoal or graphite portraiture while sketch paper is great for preliminary sketches and ideas.
