I saw a map of world vegetation regions, and it was very similar to biomes eg. tundra, savannah, rainforest etc.

  1. Biomes are usually based on climate and geography but are similar in terms of ecology (vegetation, animals, etc.) so they are virtually the same thing in my opinion.

  2. World vegetation regions and biomes are the same except that biomes place more emphasis on the inter-relatedness of the region known as an ecosystem.
