  1. Yes.... 10 times more expensive, on average!

Here are a few example VoIP rates to GERMANY:

    Skype to landline = 2.1 cent/min

    Skype to Mobile ~ = 24 cent/min (excl. VAT)

    InPhonex to landline = 2.0 cent/min

    InPhonex to Mobile = 16 - 27 cent/min (depends on carrier)

    CallCentric to landline = 1.98 cent/min

CallCentric to Mobile = 19.8 cent/min (all carriers)

    AT&T CallVantage Service Plan to landline = 5 cent/min

    AT&T CallVantage SoftPhone to landline = 2 cent/min

    AT&T CallVantage Service Plan to Mobile = 24 cent/min

    AT&T CallVantage SoftPhone to Mobile = 20 cent/min

And, for the Grand Finali, here is AT&T landline long distance rate with their:

"AT&T Worldwide Occasional Calling(sm) International Call Plan"

    Germany landline = $1.56/min !!!

    Germany Mobile = $1.75/min !!! ......OUCH!

.... and they call that a "Low per minute rate" ....

And if anyone things that is a good deal..... I have some swamp land in Florida for sale.....

Or, perhaps some prime desert sand in Arizona.....  :)

  2. This will depend on the plan your mobile is on, some capped plans may allow you to call from your mobile for less. Check with you phone company.

  3. Yeah cell phones would be more expensive.  But I do know a company that can save you money on International phone calls as well as State to State and instate and local etc.  Go to www.shaunvague.acnrep.com  or give him a call at (805) 343-7010  He'll need some basic information from you and will let you know the costs.

I go through this company and save a bundle.  I can call to Canada, Puerto Rico for free and anywhere in the U.S including Hawaii.  A portion of everyone's bills goes to help out programs for handicapped, mentally challenged, impaired, elderly and youth.  So I recommend going through them first.

    Good luck!

  4. To cellphones is more expensive.
