are muslims in india more lighter-skinned than other indians?

i dont live in india so want to hear from people who know more about india than me. can u tell about a person's background just from their physical appearance?

Sometimes. not just by skin but even by appearance eg. clothes.  But its not good to judge a person just by the skin colour.

North indian muslims who are famous may be lighter skinned. Southerns are not. It is not possible to tell persons background just by physical appearance.

North and north-west regions of India have fair skinned people in comparison to other regions specially south. It is because of climatic effect. Since muslims are more populous in north and north west (punjab, Jammu & kashmir, delhi, up, etc.) in comparison to southern areas, it is a general perception that muslims seem more fair skinned than others. in sothern areas such as kerala and andhra, where muslims are found, there is hardly any fairskinned muslim.

North Indian Muslims are fair ,but south Indian Muslims are more dark skinned just like other races, but Muslims in south who had been converted from upper castes  are found to be fairer even nowadays.The north Indian Muslims are major part Aryans,descending from Huns and Mughal invasions form upper north, it is interesting to study,most of the races adhere to marry from the same castes so the lineages are clear.....
