Is there a difference in the amount of nutrients inside of shells verses the uterus?

is there more nutrients available to organisms developing inside of a uterus, is there more available to those developing in an egg shell, or is it about equal?

  1. The nutrients a baby need to develop are not in the uterus , they are in the placenta. The uterus just provides the perfect environment for the baby: temperature, etc.

    You can't compare it with an egg shell because  the chicken develops by itself, the baby is connected to the mother's body, takes whatever it needs from the mother through the placenta.
