Is there really a diffrence beteween a proccesor going 2.9ghz to 3.0ghz

I mean is there reallly a noticable diffrence between these two and the proccesors have the same l2 chache and are the same type everything is the same excpet the ghz. So is there really a diffrence that is noticable. Because im gonna overclock my cpu from 3.0ghz to 3.2 and i want to know if its worth it.

Also what is hypertransporting thats why my computer has why does that do thank you!!!!!!!

  1. absolutley no  difference what so ever

thats just a 100 mhz  increase a  100 to  30 mhz increase is not going to rock your computers world if it was a  600 mhz  cpu  overclocked to  700 to 900 mhz then it would be noticable buit  here ?  skip it

    not  worth it

unless  you like to see  3.2 ghz in your  dxdiag dialog

  2. Not that you would notice.

  3. There is a negligable difference between 3ghz and 3.2 using some applications and cpu intensive games but in my opinion its not worth overclocking to get that difference.

Overclocking reduces the life of your components and unless you really know what you're doing you could cook your CPU.

Personally, if i wanted 3.2 ghz rather than 3 ghz CPU i'd just fork out the extra cash and buy it.

  4. Wont see it. Doesn't make a difference until you get up to around 10% but even then you have to be looking for it.

Good example is Crysis the most cpu intensive game i've ever played. Your frame rates go up 50% of what you bump the cpu clock up. If you bumped your cpu up from 3 to 3.2 then the frame rates for Crysis would only go up a little under 3 1/2 %.  Nothing to write home about and most games wont even come close to even that bump.
