Is there a digital camera with a removable objective so i put it on my telescope?

Now don't offer me different settings! I want to go out on a trip with my small telescope and shoot some mountains during the day and I am not going to carry a laptop and batteries for those CCD asto cameras and stuff!

  1. Check out the link below. It has a lot of information on Digiscoping. Digiscoping is often done with a point and shoot camera and a spotting scope. Adapters are made for many point and shoot and SLR cameras.

  2. Ted, you need a digital SLR, which means you can remove the lens and then fit the body on to a telescope.  

    You will need to use some kind of adapter to fit the telescope to the camera body itself and that is probably going to mean posting another question.

    There are many digital SLR cameras on the market, I'd suggest you look here for some basic buying advice and then look at a digital camera review site to select the most suitable model for your needs.
