Is there a direct train from Rome Fiumicino to Naples Centrale without changing in Rome?

I am arriving in Rome airport and need to goto Naples. I was told by an italian there is a new direct train from the actual airport to Naples, but all I can find online is telling me to take a train from the airport to the Rome central station and change there to go to Naples. Thanks!

No Direct. Its about a 50min train ride from the airport to Rome's main train terminal. Remember that Naples is large, crowded, and dirty. Make sure you continue down and go to the Amalfi Coast in stead.

Unfortunately, there  is none as yet. But there shouldn't be any problem getting on a train to Naples from Termini...

there's probably some way to do it. the train system over there is crazzzzzzzzzzzzzyy . who needs a car when you got yo' train . hahaha have fun!!

I lived in Rome 5 years ago and the airport train only traveled between the airport and Termini station.  There is another metropolitan train that leaves the airport and makes stops at all the main stations in Rome but it does not travel beyond Rome.  I also checked the Trenitalia website and it looks to me like nothing has changed.  I don't know where your acquaintance got his/her information.

No, there is no direct train between Fiumicino and Napoli Centrale. You must take the train to Stazione Termini then change to the train for Naples.

FYI: If you are going to Naples as military personnel; there is a free shuttle from the airport to Capodichino.

My recommendation is to rent a car and drive down to Naples: it is more enjoyable. Car rentals in Italy do not have a surcharge if you leave the rental at a different location. Buona Fortuna!
