  1. Yep, the Prelude to the Dream. This will be the second year Gordon has participated. I think it's awesome that Cup drivers of that caliber are dirt racing like that. I purchased the pay per view last year and it was the most entertaining race I've ever seen. I'm looking forward to it again this year. Another cool thing about it, is all the officials, announcers and track workers volunteer their time for the broadcast. So that gives Victory Junction a ton of very needed money.

  2. yes it is tony stewart helps put it on

    just for fun

  3. yes june 4th at ELDORA SPEEDWAY IN OHIO AT 7PM

IT'S CALLED PRALUDE TO A DREAM AND 12 CUP DRIVERS WILL BE THERE

also monday in kentucky tony having another race at his dirt track and jimmy spencer will be there!

  4. I don't think Jeff Gordon has been in a dirt car in over 10 years, but I might be wrong. Tony Stewart has his annual event that many Cup drivers race in, and several drivers race some dirt events throughout the year. I've even heard Dale Jr might give dirt racing a try. Being a part owner and sitting behind the wheel of a dirt car are two very different things. I had forgotten about Gordon being in last year's Dream, but has he done any other dirt racing at all? I don't think he has.

  5. Yes.  It's called "the Prelude to the Dream."  It's held at Eldora Speedway, which is owned by Tony Stewart.  They will be racing  UMP/World of Outlaws Late Models.  It will be run on Wednesday, June 4th, 2008.  It will be broadcast on HBO Pay-Per-View, with possible re-airs later this summer on Speed.  The proceeds go to the Victory Junction Gang.

There is also a "NASCAR Night" at Macon Speedway this coming Monday evening (May 26th).  Kevin Harvick, Kenny Wallace, and Ken Schrader will all be there.  Jimmy Spencer is supposed to be there, but I haven't heard anything 100% about him being there, just rumors. June 12th will be Macon's "Night of NASCAR Stars 2," which will have 15+ NASCAR drivers in attendance, and will be taped by Speed to be aired later in the summer.  BTW, Macon Speedway is owned by Kenny Wallace, Ken Schrader, and Tony Stewart.

Jay, jeff gordon ran the Prelude to the Dream last year, and finished 2nd to Carl Edwards.

Also, Earnhardt is involved in dirt racing already.  He is part owner of Paducah Raceway, along with Tony Stewart.  Jr also owns a house near Mt. Zion, Illinois, just for the NASCAR drivers to stay in while running in the area (including Chicago)

  6. Yes. It's a charity race at the Eldora Speedway dirt track on June 4th called Prelude To A Dream sponsored by Old Spice.

It's on pay-per-view but they usually air it a couple weeks later on the Speed channel. I watched it last year. It was really cool.
