Is there a discount hotel chain like Travelodge/Premier Lodge in France?

Question

Looking for something basic en route to Med' coast. Used Formule 1 before...OK(ish) wondered if there are any others.

http://www.c-lafrance.com/ will give you plenty of possibilities (ibis, etap, formule 1, B&B, ..). look under "hebergements" which means lodging.

I stayed in Ibis hotel in Avignon... personally, I would stay in a small local hotel.  The Ibis Hotel was nice, had a pool and all... but boring as h**l!

My favorite lower end hotel chain is the B & B.  Their beds are nice, the rooms are clean, you have a private bathroom,  and the price is right.

Ibis, Etap and Formule 1 are members of the Accor hotel network (owner of US motel 6 ) Check here :
