Question:

Is there a disorder for people who always want to get things fast?

I have a habit of wanting to get things the way I think will be fastest and easiest. Deep down I'll often have this voice telling me that my idea isn't going to work, and I often times look dopey and stupid in front of people. My mind also can't stay focused on one thing. I remember I went to fill out some paper work and I had to go back and redo it three times because I was busy thinking about leaving the building quickly before it got too hot, or how I needed to get food at the food court before I went home, etc, etc.

  1. no

  2. Instaphrenia.

  3. Sounds like it could be ADD

If you get medicine for it, it will actually give you energy to get more done and to actually concentrate on what your doing, if that makes any sense.

I took Dexadrine before and it gave me energy to organize every file and paper and all my stuff, and more.

  4. Is that Attention Deficit Disorder....or similar?

  5. impatient

  6. Sounds like ADD mixed with impatience

  7. It's called impatience.  It takes a great deal of time and learning to develop patience.  The saying goes:  "All things come to them that wait."  I don't always agree with that.  Some things should be done quickly.

  8. maybe it could be autism or add or adhd

  9. ADD, OCD, or maybe you are just impatient.

  10. Anxiety, it sounds like. that or ADHD.

  11. It sounds like a combination of bipolar, ADD and ADHD

  12. impatient ness

  13. Sounds like a cross between Attention Deficit Disorder and an Impulse Control Disorder. Yes that is an actual diagnosis in the DSMIV.

  14. Yes. ADHD.

  15. Sure, it's called America. We live in a fast paced society where we want things as quick as possible, not use to waiting...

However, it could be ADHD/ ADD. There are several online references you can use to do "self checks". If you do these and find that you answer" yes" to a lot of the questions or you find yourself in similar situations that they ask, then you may want to see a doctor so they can prescribe you something for your ADHD/ADD. ADHD/ADD can lead to anxiety ( which would explain your feeling of embarrassement if you do things wrong or fear of looking stupid).

Take some deep breaths and try to take it moment to moment...

  16. idk but i have the same exact thing!

  17. Nope your just human and a bit of a hypochondriac by the sound of it.

  18. It's called "being an American" as far as I know.
