  1. Sure. That's the most popular way to GET an electric car these days. If you're really brave,  try modeling your motor on the works of Searl or E.V. Gray. Those, if  they really work, hardly require any batteries at all.

  2. You have the answer ! Combustion engine verses electric motor.First you will need to remove the engine .after that an engineering degree or a friend with one will be helpful. For the do it yourself er , trial and error is the beginning to success .Failure is only another discovery on how  not to do it .

  3. yep and there are people already doing it. You can convert one for around $2000 or less, if you already have the car.

below are 2 links. google electric car conversions.

no you can't contact me by email.

  4. if u have the money it probably could be done.

  5. there are several companies out there that offer conversion kits, or if you are a good parts scrounger these ev parts suppliers will sell individual parts that you may need. I have completed a conversion of a motorcycle to electric. I also installed a small engine and alternator for anytime anywhere battery charging. it falls into the series hybrid electric class. It will depend on what you want in a conversion that will determine the cost. if you can do the work yourself, you will save on the cost. the sites provided below should help. you should be able to e-mail me if you have questions.

  6. If you search for "electric car conversion" you'll find people selling kits for various models.  You usually want to start with a manual transmission "donor" car.
