Is there a drink that tastes like blood. Or resemble it it any way?

Ok well I think i have Porphyria, but I am afraid to ask my parents because they are just going to think I'm a crazy, lying, vampires possesed freak. But I do crave blood. I don't think I have many other symptoms besides that, but I crave very strongly. Can anyone help me.

It's really not so weird to like the taste of blood. It's metallic and sweet and salty and warm, and it just tastes good. In our now vampire-ravaged culture it is also not uncommon for the concept of drinking blood to be romanticized. My advice is just make sure that you don't cut yourself, because you never what will scar, and if any adult sees your wounds you can get in trouble. Occasionally you'll get cuts just going through life, you can enjoy the blood then without causing suspicion, and the less often you taste it the more it will mean to you when you do have it. I don't know of any drinks that taste like blood, I've been trying to come up with one for Halloween and haven't found any results. I'll post again if I do.

I used to get blood noses everyday even while i was asleep and then after I had to go to hospital and get it cauterized I miss the taste of blood its kinda crazy since im not into any of those vampire crazes of anything! Basically what im saying is I know how you feel.

You don't have porphyria. Porphyria doesn't make you crave blood. It can't affect your mental state to get the nutrients you need, and even if it could, drinking unprocessed human blood will not give you the nutrients you lack when you have porphyria.

You crave blood for some psychological reason, probably as a side effect of watching a lot of vampire movies/shows, like I do. I also am really into blood, like you. I don't (as far as I know) have any medical disorder that makes me crave it. That said, it's not exactly normal to like blood.

But yeah, I love the taste of my own blood and really like blood in general. That said, there's not really anything I know of that you can buy that tastes like blood. There's a lot of fake "blood" drinks (apparently the "Blood Energy Potion" that comes in a transfusion-type bag about the size of a Capri Sun even smells like the real thing o_O, according to a friend of mine) but all of them are flavored funny, like fruit punch or something. Probably because most people think blood tastes gross. To tell the truth, I probably couldn't choke down a Capri Sun full of real blood in one sitting, and I love the stuff.

I'm working on experimenting with different stuff, though, to come up with my own recipe. My best ideas right now all involve tomato soup. Probably going to have to add salt (like the guy above said) and find some way to make it taste metallic. The major feature of blood is its metallic taste (due to the hemoglobin). I'm looking at either dissolving iron supplement pills in the tomato soup or letting (sanitized) pennies soak in it overnight. If I find something that works, I'll let you know. Till then, experiment for yourself.
