Is there a fast way to delete some 'bookmarks'?

I have way too many bookmarks on my firefox that I never use anymore. I've been trying to delete them via the pulldown menu, but that is taking forever, deleting them one by one and having to keep going back to the list. Is there a way to manage them better, or delete several at a time?

go to "bookmarks", then "organize bookmarks"

open the folder that stores the bookmarks you want to edit

select the first in a range and the last (like you would in any windows folder), hit "delete"

You'd better spend less time on Y!A and hurry to get those bookmarks deleted!  If your girlfriend finds that catalogue of p**n sites you've been browsing, you're totally busted.
