because I am moving out in the country and I have a dog and 3 cats and I do use frontline on my animals, but I want to be able to kill the fleas and ticks that are on the the lawn, not to mention the ants and spiders and what not. I don't want these insects coming into my home.

  1. You can try Total Kill from Home Depot.

I don't know if it kills fleas though, good luck!

  2. There are lawn insect controls made by Ortho availbable at Lowes.

Heres a link to the one by ortho

Heres a link to the main page with all the insect controls on it

  3. there is a great product made by hi-yield called bug blaster that would work very well.

  4. You need a specialized product in addition to a fertilizer.  I have a brook running through my property that has lots of nasty things (tics, etc.).  I try not to foul the water, but a broadcast spreader and some insecticide will do the trick.
