Someone mentioned it as similar to pansies or petunias.

If so, can you tell me if it's an annual or perennial, and how it would do in Zone 7 (MD.) Thanks.

I have monkey plant but I'm not sure if this is what you have or not.

  2. I have some money tree, actually a small plant , the flower is little blue/purple. The seed pods are flat and almost round looking like a big 25-cents  coin,  thus  call money tree or money plant. It is annual,  it can re-seed itself and grow from seed next year. Zone 7 is fine for it.

  3. There is sticky monkey flower (Mimulus). Mimulus is a group of annual, perennial herbs and shrubs. As a group, they generally like full sun and moderate to dry water conditions. They vary in hardiness and annuals would be good border and container plants. The perennial varieties are taller than the annuals kinds and are generally woodier.

    Common perennials are: Mimulus auriantiacus (zone 8), M. cardinalis (zone 7), M. guttatus (zone 6), M. x hybridus (zone 6), M. luteus (zone 7) and M. puniceus (zone 9).

    Hope this helps!
