I have a family room 16 x 24 what size television (flat screen) should I use?

  1. Yes, the rule of thumb is to take the distance you sit from your TV (in inches) divide by 2 and again divide the same distance by 3. For example if you sit 8 feet (96") from your TV, the ideal sized TV would be between a 32" & 48" TV.


  2. There is also the formula of multiplying the diagonal size of the screen by 3, then divide by 12 to give you how far you should sit from the screen in units of feet.
