Is there a free MKV to AVI video converter?

Question

I'm trying to make amvs and blah blah blahh.....anyways, I have tried to download a video converter 'unregistered' and it gave me a warning that it is going to have some words in the center of the screen when it is finished converting. I want a FREE mkv video converter to avi WITHOUT any problems...I dont want to have to pay or buy anything. So, if you can please give me the links, thatll be great.

SUPER is nice free video converter, go and google search for it.

I'd prefer using this all-in-one video converter, my friends recommend it to me, it's not free, but it works pretty well, I think it deserves the money, and here is a step by step guide about it
